$12Celebrate the Autumn Equinox and Have Fun Under Lights
The autumn equinox is when the length of day and night are equal, and the sun crosses the equator from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere.
It marks the beginning of autumn and the descent into winter.
- The word equinox comes from the Latin words equi (equal) and nox (night).
- The sun rises exactly in the east and sets exactly in the west.
- At the equator, the sun is directly overhead at noon.
- The equinox is a time to reflect on the changing seasons and celebrate the planet we live on.
